Welcome to Prestbury Squash and Racketball Club

Prestbury Squash and Racketball Club is located in the village of Prestbury. We are fairly unique nowadays in that we are a successful, non-profit making, self-supporting squash and racketball club run by volunteers for the benefit of the members. The Club has a wide range of membership and you will have the opportunity to meet plenty of playing partners no matter the level of your ability. A number of members travel a considerable distance to play, and we believe this is a good indication that the club has a number of appealing features.

In the early days squash was a game associated with fit young adults, however changes in rackets and the introduction of racketball and long squash (where you must hit the ball to the back of the court) means that games can be and is enjoyed by many older people nowadays. With 29 racketball players, the club can be considered the principal racketball club in South Manchester. The club has 4 courts all of which can be viewed from the bar. This unique facility gives the club a friendly atmosphere and makes the club very popular with members, parents of juniors and visitors.

We believe squash and racketball are sports that provide a lot of fun and pleasure to the participants, on and off the court. In addition to improving ones physical fitness there are also mental benefits as well, you can't think about work when chasing a ball. There is also the satisfaction from seeing improvements in your performance, the satisfaction of understanding a game and the strategies that are most likely to succeed for you. Frequently, the confidence you gain from playing a sport like squash and racketball can transfer to many other areas of your life.

We welcome new members. Please look at the membership page.
